The infrared spectra of c-axis oriented films of YBa2Cu3O6.3 and PrBa2Cu3O6.3 polycrystalline ceramics were reported. Nine phonon modes were observed in Pr-Ba2Cu3O6.3, corresponding to 5Eu + 4A2u vibration. In the YBa2Cu3O6.3 material, 10 phonon modes were observed, corresponding to 6Eu + 4A2u vibration. The Eu and A2u modes of Pr were located at 170cm-1 and 198cm-1, respectively. The Y and Eu and A2u modes were located at 191cm-1 and 217cm -1. PrBa2Cu3O6.3 and YBa2Cu3O6.3 have similar crystal structures, comparing and analyzing their Eu and A2u modes.
