特殊教育学校在开展特教工作的同时,必须对存在各种障碍的学生进行心理健康教育,为确保新时期特殊教育学校学生心理健康教育的有效成果,重点注意把握好心理健康教育与学校德育工作的相互关系,既不能只重视集体思想品德教育而忽视个体的心理健康教育,也不能用思想品德教育来代替心理健康教育,更不能以心理健康教育取代思想品德教育教学原有课程。特殊群体的心理健康问题需要高度重视,不可简单归结为思想品德教育范畴,同时要注意二者相辅相成,相互促进,教师要从培养健康心理素质入手,力争帮助每一个残疾学生健康成长。
