我以前不认识王敬恒先生,尽管多年来参加《成都美术志》编辑整理工作,就成都地区的画家创作活动曾经做过多方面的调查研究,却没有接触过王先生和他的作品,甚至没有听人谈及过他的名字。1999年底,在《世纪之门》中国艺术邀请展中才第一次看到王先生的画,当时感到吃惊,因为画面上充溢着鲜活的气势和自由粗率不知如何评价的笔意,也因为成都家乡突然站起来一个画家,似乎与任何一个艺术家群体无关。 I did not know Mr. Wang Jingheng before.
