在教学中,我们发现学生的阅读能力和写作能力较强,但听、说能力较弱。有的学生虽然通过了四、六级考试,但在面试中不能用英语交流信息。本文针对普通高校学生英语学习情况,提出在英语课堂教学中运用教师期待效应,能够激发学生的潜能,使学生获得教师所期待的进步,从而有效地改变他们的英语学习状况,使其在愉悦的氛围中学到新的知识,以达到大学英语教学的目的。
In teaching, we found that students’ reading ability and writing ability are strong, but their ability to listen and speak is weak. Although some students passed the 4th and 6th exams, they could not exchange information in English during the interview. This paper aims at the situation of English learning in ordinary colleges and universities, and puts forward the application of teacher expectation effect in English classroom teaching. It can stimulate students’ potential and enable students to obtain the progress that teachers expect, thus effectively changing their English learning status and making them happy. Atmosphere learns new knowledge to achieve the purpose of college English teaching.
