信息产业对美国经济的影响从20世纪80年代开始,信息技术成为了美国科技推动经济发展的主动力。美国商务部和统计委员会在《数字经济2000》报告中指出:“信息产业在整个经济产值中比重在2000年只有8.3%。但在1995～1999年间对美国经济实际增长做出了几乎1/3的贡献……信息技术革命推动了产业结构的优化和升级,增强了经济自身的稳定性,大大增强了美国经济增长的后劲,使美国经济得以持续发展。”
Impact of the Information Industry on the U.S. Economy Since the 1980s, information technology has become the driving force behind US science and technology in promoting economic development. In the “Digital Economy 2000” report, the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Statistical Commission pointed out: "The information industry accounted for only 8.3% of the entire economic output in 2000. However, in 1995-1999, the actual growth of the U.S. economy was almost 1/3 . The revolution in information technology has promoted the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure, enhanced the stability of the economy itself, greatly enhanced the stamina of the U.S. economy and made the U.S. economy sustainable.
