我厂120型柴油机上的活塞销衬套,原为铸锡铅青铜衬套,在使用中出现碎裂现象。不少人认为衬套壁厚太薄,曾提出要增加壁厚。但这不符合发动机单位功率重量小、结构越趋紧凑的发展要求。我们于一九七六年开始了用双金属板卷制活塞销衬套的研试工作。一九七七年,上海东风有色金属厂研制了一种新的高强度铝合金材料——铝硅合金双金属带,经采用此材料作为活塞销衬套的近四年的反复试验改进,终于获得了成功。一九八○年通过国家鉴定合格,现已开始批量生产。(见图1)

In 1977, Shanghai Dongfeng Nonferrous Metals Factory developed a new high-strength aluminum alloy material, Al-Si alloy bimetallic strip. After repeated tests and tests of using this material for piston pin bushings for nearly four years, finally Won the success. In 1980 passed the national appraisal, has now begun mass production.
