翻转课堂概念的引入,在相当一段时间和某些程度上,像一股新风吹进课堂,带给教学课堂新的活力与生气。翻转课堂与普通传统课堂教学不同,翻转课堂是英语教学中先学后教理念的延伸。翻转课堂能在大学英语教学中得以应用,达到教学的计划和目标,还必须满足几个条件。翻转课堂要求学生能够在家里或者业余时间通过互联网完成教学任务;需要学生有很好的英语基础和课堂上的组织协调能力;需要学校提供相应的教学环境,学生也具备学习的硬件设备;还需要一本好的教材,配备优质的微课资源。翻转课堂运用在大学英语教学中,对英语教学的改革和发展非常有意义。
