2006年,Intel依靠Conroe处理器大红大紫了一番,芯片组方面,后起之秀965依靠良好的性价比和优异的超频能力赢得了玩家的青睐。然而,Intel真正关心的地方是整合芯片组和移动芯片组方面,整个2006年,似乎G965/Q965动作非常小,各大OEM厂商的主力Conroe机型均为945G芯片组,只有Dell等少数厂家的G965芯片组赶上了圣诞节假期,在移动领域,965甚至连露脸的机会都没有,这点和Intel的初衷似乎差距甚大。进入2007年,965芯片组似乎将要面临更大的麻烦,Intel将推出新的芯片组:Bearlake,和965一样,Bearlake是一整套解决方案,上到975x,下到945的最低版本,都将在2007年升级到Bearlake系列芯片组。于是乎965芯片组似乎非常短命,那Intel为什么要这么急着替换掉965呢?Bearlake真的那么重要吗?
