素称天府之国的四川省,由于复杂的地貌和气候条件,植物种类特别丰富,有高等植物1万余种,这里又是第四纪冰川时期多种植物的避难所,孑遗植物较多。说到四川植物,人们自然会想列那些为发掘、研究这些宝贵资源而做出积极贡献的我国老一辈植物学家,现年83岁的四川大学生物系植物分类室主任方文培教授就是其中之一。 Sichuan province, which is said to be the land of natural abundance, is rich in plant species due to its complicated topography and climatic conditions. There are more than 10,000 species of higher plants here, which is also a refuge for many plants during the Quaternary glaciation period and there are many relict plants. When it comes to Sichuan plants, people naturally would like to include those veteran botanists in our country who made positive contributions to the exploration and study of these precious resources.
