麦克卢汉的冷热媒介分类给我们的启示是:大众文化再创造程度低,多倾向于热媒介;精英艺术再创造程度高,多倾向于冷媒介。从英尼斯的媒介时空偏倚理论中似乎得到这样的假说:大众文化追求偏倚空间的媒介,以偏倚空间传播的大众化手段操纵着文化;精英艺术青睐偏倚时间的媒介,以偏倚时间传播的特权性垄断着艺术。
