莱芜铁矿位于一个中部向北突出的近东西向弧形断陷盆地,盆地东西长约70公里,南北宽10~30公里。盆地内古生界、新生界地层均有出露。该盆地主要形成于燕山构造期,中、新生代经历了多次剧烈构造变动,并伴随有岩浆活动;其中尤以燕山期岩浆活动最为强烈。区内铁矿即与此期岩浆活动有关。莱芜铁矿由崅峪、矿山、金牛山及铁铜沟等矿田组成(图1),是燕山期闪长岩类杂岩体与碳酸盐类围岩接触交代形成的高温
Laiwu Iron Mine is located in a central northward arc of the northeast-arc faulted basin, about 70 km east-west basin, north-south width of 10 to 30 km. Paleozoic basin, Cenozoic strata are exposed. The basin was mainly formed during the Yanshanian tectonic period. The Mesozoic and Cenozoic experienced many dramatic tectonic movements accompanied by magmatic activities, of which the Yanshanian magmatic activity was the most intense. Iron ore in the area is related to the magmatic activity in this period. The Laiwu iron ore mine consists of 崅yu, mine, Jinniushan and Tiegou ditch fields (Figure 1). It is a high temperature formed by the contact between Yanshanian dioritic complex and carbonate rock
