东方卫视一直在讨论自己的定位问题,耗费了不少时间。是新闻立台,还是财经立台,还是高端引领?关于节目样式的讨论也很多,是以新闻为主要样式,还是综艺节目占据主要的样式?最后大家得出的结论是:东方卫视应该给自己一种气质型的定位,而不是简单地以内容样式来定位自己。因为所有人说到东方卫视,他会有一个期许,觉得自己应该在上海的电视媒体上看到一种什么样的节目、什么样的内容形式。我们自己总结了这种气质,可以用八个字来归纳:“新鲜、新锐,都市、国际”。这就是东方卫视应该具有的气质,也是从此之后我们创作和筛选节目的一个标准。
