Electrical stimulation of the brain for an extended period of time limits its application to medicine and experimentation because of its potential neurogenic damage to the brain. We used a variety of electrodes to study the interaction of two stimulation parameters, the charge density and the charge per phase, to determine the critical value of electrical nerve damage caused by electrical stimulation. Stimulate the platinum electrode with a surface area of 0.002 ~ 0.5cm ~ 2 and implant the parietal subcortical cortex of adult cats. The penetrating iridium microelectrode had a stimulating surface area of 65 ± 3 × 10 -6 cm 2 and was inserted into the parietal subcortical layer. Ten days later, a pulse lasting 7 hours was applied to the electrode. The pulse
