教学目标:
1.知识目标:
(1)利用问答操练以复习本单元所学过的词汇: country ,capital city, map, north, south, east, west, China,U.S., U.K., Australia, English, Chinese, know, speak.
(2)复习句型Do you know whereis? Yes, I know. / No, I don’t know.
2.能力目标:能用英语说出主要英语国家的名称、首都、语言和名胜,能运用一些描述地图的基本词汇来描述地图。
3.情感目标:通过了解China和English speaking countries的一些基本情况,培养学生热爱祖国的情感。
教学重点:
能够用英语说出各个国家的名称、首都、语言、名胜等基本特点,能在地图上流畅地描述各国之间的位置。
教学难点:
能够熟练并且清晰地说出各国的特点。

T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Practice1:Show the picture of the map to review:north south west and east .

Ss It’s a map.
T: Yes. On a map, this is…
Ss: North.
T: Good, north points…on a map.

T: Very good. Where is ‘east’?
S: East points right.
T: Excellent.

Practice 2: Show the cards of the countries. Review the names of the countries.
T:How many countries did we learn? Do you still remember?
S: Yes, five.

S: China, Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
Practice 3: Look at the map of the world. Say the directions of the countries.
T: Very good. Look at the map. Can you say something about the directions and the counties? For example: The U.S. is east of China. Can you have a try?
