Only recently did I find myself updated with the in-depth coverage of photography when I finished my photography feature, “Democracy in Ancient Ancestral Temples,” through an interview with “Dwelling” research in recent years. Profoundly Understanding and Refining Major Themes During the late spring of 1998, I went to Quxian County, Zhejiang Province to interview the general election of the village committee. I had no idea of rural elections before, and I wanted to “make the whole process of a rural democratic election with ’Chinese characteristics.’” The rural elections must go through a campaign of propaganda, registration of voters, recommending candidates, voting and publicizing The election results and the training of new teams and other sectors are a highly procedural process. Considering that many villages in Qu County have entered the stage of recommending candidates, my immediate priority is to interview an village resident with “Chinese characteristics” as soon as possible. Since the trial establishment of the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Villagers’ Committees” in 1988, the emergence of rural cadres in our country has been changed from the appointment of a traditional superior organization to the direct election of villagers.
