新的社会形势对学生的英语水平提出了新的要求,加之民办高职院校的学生英语基础相对薄弱,涉及专业较多,彼此间英语水平的差距表现最为突出。如何促进非英语专业学生的英语水平,培养他们的英语能力,已经成为当前教育工作者所面临的重要课题。笔者多方研究了目前南昌职业学院非英语专业英语教学中存在的问题,并就分层次英语教学提出了相关对策和建议。
The new social situation puts new demands on students’ English proficiency. In addition, the foundation of English for private higher vocational colleges is relatively weak, involving a large number of professions, and the gap between them is most prominent. How to promote the English proficiency of non-English majors and develop their English proficiency has become an important issue for educators at present. The author has studied many problems existing in non-English major English teaching in Nanchang Vocational College and put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions on the hierarchical English teaching.
