课本注《叔向贺贫》“宣子拜稽首焉”一句的“稽首”是:“顿首,把头叩到地上”。这个注释是不够确切的。稽首、顿首、空首,都是我国古代叩头的礼节,然而叩头的程度不同。《周礼》中有:“一曰稽首,二曰顿首,三曰空首”之说。“宣子拜稽首焉”,这里的稽首,是当时九拜中最恭敬的一种礼节,要跪下,拱手至地,头也要至地,并且还要等会儿抬起头来。顿首,是平辈相尊的一种礼节,叩头触地即可抬起来。如南梁人丘迟的《与陈伯之书》
