Objective To evaluate and compare the effects of long-term low-level occupational exposure to carbon disulfide (CS_2) on male reproductive function. Methods PubMed, EMbase, The Cochrane Library (2016No.4), Web of Knowledge, CBM, Wanfang Data, CNKI database were searched for case controlled studies of male reproductive health function with low concentration of CS_2 ), The search time limit from the database to August 1, 2016. RevMan5.3 software for data consolidation analysis. Results A total of 8 CCSs and 2619 subjects were included. Meta-analysis showed that long-term low-level occupational exposure to CS2 significantly increased FSH levels (MD = 3.21, 95% CI 2.29, 4.13, fixed effect model) and decreased semen volume (MD = -0.96, 95% CI -1.73, (MD = 1.52, 95% CI (-0.93, 3.98, -0.18, -0.18), and the sperm density (MD = -21.20, 95% CI, -34.45, -7.96, fixed effect model) ), Random effects model) and serum PRL levels (MD = -0.36, 95% CI (-1.51, 0.78), fixed effects model). Conclusion Long-term, low concentration of CS 2 occupational exposure may have an adverse effect on male reproductive function and it is necessary to be protected.
