长篇小说《活着》是余华由先锋作家向写实主义作家转型的标志性作品,张艺谋导演将这部小说搬上荧幕,用电影的形式创造了区别于小说的另外一种独特的审美样式。相比较而言,小说和电影有着相似的故事情节,但是二者在死亡叙事上有着明显的区别,这直接造成在由文字媒介向视听媒介转换的过程中,小说和电影形成了不同的艺术效果。本文试图从死亡视角、死亡归因和死亡基调三个方面对二者进行比较,从而展现余华小说和张艺谋电影在死亡叙事上的差异。
The novel Living is a symbolic work of Yu Hua’s transformation from avant-garde writers to realistic writers. Director Zhang Yimou brought the novel onto the screen and created another unique aesthetic style different from the novel in the form of a movie. In comparison, novels and films have similar storylines, but there is a clear distinction between the narratives of death, which directly leads to the different artistic effects of novels and films in the transition from text medium to audiovisual medium . This article attempts to compare the two aspects from the perspective of death, attribution of death and the keynote of death, so as to show the differences between Yu Hua’s novels and Zhang Yimou’s films in the narrative of death.
