南翔站无线通信试验工程第一阶段工程已于1983年7月16日告一段落。该项工程是在铁道部领导下,由上海铁路局、铁道部科学研究院通号所和通号公司设计处共同协作完成。第一阶段工程是在到达场的车号系统、机械化驼峰编组站尾部调车系统(类似平面调车)以及简易驼峰调车系统里装置无线电设备。设备是引进日本NEC公司400MHz频段专供调车用的电台。经过七个多月运营,证实完全适用于调车作业。正如南翔站在第一阶段的小结会上
Nanxiang Station wireless communications pilot project of the first phase of the project was July 16, 1983 come to an end.
