现阶段我国英语教育工作者拥有更多选择教材的机会,因此增强对教材的认识不仅能帮助英语教师们选择合适的英语教科书,而且能使他们更灵活地利用教科书。作者通过对教科书的定义,教科书的权威地位,教师对教材的依赖性,现阶段中小学英语教材编写指导思想等方面进行探讨,希望广大英语教师们特别是农村英语教师更深刻地认识教科书的重要地位。
At this stage, English educators in our country have more chances to choose teaching materials. Therefore, to enhance their knowledge of teaching materials can not only help English teachers select suitable English textbooks, but also make them more flexible use of textbooks. Through the definition of textbooks, the authoritative status of textbooks, teachers’ dependence on textbooks, and the guiding ideology of compiling English textbooks for primary and secondary schools at this stage, I hope that English teachers, especially rural English teachers, understand the importance of textbooks more profoundly status.
