大学生由于受中国语言学习传统的影响,不了解英语词汇的“自然习得”。有研究者认为,母语词汇的学习不可能完全是通过刻意学习获得,而很可能是在进行其他学习任务时附带习得的。因此,教师既要讲授属于英语词汇直接学习的策略,也要提高他们对英语词汇自然习得和英语词汇间接学习的认识,使直接学习和间接学习相互补充。
Because of the influence of Chinese language learning tradition, college students do not understand the “natural acquisition” of English vocabulary. Some researchers believe that the learning of the mother tongue vocabulary can not be achieved through deliberate learning, but it is likely to be incidental to other learning tasks. Therefore, teachers should not only teach vocabulary learning strategies that are directly related to English vocabulary, but also improve their understanding of the natural acquisition of English vocabulary and the indirect learning of English vocabulary, so that direct learning and indirect learning complement each other.
