上海农垦经历了三十多个春秋。特别是党的十一届三中全会以来,农垦系统的面貌发生了显著的变化,成功地走出了一条办好城郊型国有农垦企业的新路子,“农工商”成为崛起沪上的一颗新星。1995年,上海农工商完成销售(营业)收入180亿元,比1987年(下同)增长9.5倍;净资产31.3亿元,增长2.3倍;出口产品拨交额12.7亿元,增长5.7倍;上海农工商以不到全国农垦2％的职工,创造了全国农垦30％的利润,上海农工商集团被列为全国国有企业500强中的第76位。
