Nancy: It’s a fine day,isn’t it?
Mary: Yes. So what can wedo?
Lucy: Let’s go to the park.
Nancy and Mary: Goodidea!
(In the park )
Nancy: Oh, there are a lotof public signs.
Mary: Public signs?... Whatdoes that sign mean?
Lucy: It means “No smok-ing”.
Mary: Thank you.
Nancy: And this pub-lic sign means “Don’ttouch.”
Mary: Oh, I see.
Lucy: Look, the signbeside the river means “Noswimming”.
Nancy: But there’s a boy swimming in the river.
Mary: We must tell the park keeper!
(Run to the park keeper)
Mary: Excuse me, Uncle, there’s a boy swimming in the river.
Park keeper: Really? Let’s go and see.
(Beside the river)
Park keeper: Come up! Can’t you see the public sign?You can’t swim here!
Boy: Sorry, Sir.
