There have been more studies on the metabolic characteristics of the chemical constituents such as purine bases, catechins and free amino acids in tea leaves. However, there is a lack of research on the generation of these chemical constituents in flowers. It is generally believed that floral organs are more conserved than vegetative organs. Therefore, it is expected that the study on the metabolic characteristics of floral materials will provide new funding for studying the laws of material metabolism in tea plants and the classification of tea trees based on chemical evidence and for studying the origin of tea trees
