复述英语课文是课堂教学中比较难的也是比较重要的一个环节,是培养学生的口语及速记能力的主要途径之一。用适当的教学方法进行训练,能帮助学社迅速的掌握课文的脉络要点,又能提高学生的口语表达能力,同时减轻了学生背课文难的沉重负担。通过多年的教学经验积累,现将我在教学中常用的几种方法总结如下:
一、脉络整理法
记录事件的记叙文通常以时间、空间、事件发展为主线,根据此类文章的特点,教师可以给出框架,让学生根据它去寻找材料,整理出答案之后,学生会清晰地看到全文的脉络,这时复述起来轻松多了。
下面是学习初中英语九年级unite6,section A,3a的框架:
Invention;tea
Invention time; About 5000 years ago
Invention way; Shen Nong drank the boiling water with leaves.
Cha Jing time; A few thousand years later.
Content;Tea plant growing and producing.
Time to Korea;During the 6th and 7th centuries.
Tea trade time;In the 19th century.
二、答案顺接法
此方法是指将课文的主干部分用问题的方式呈现给学生,问题答出来之后顺次链接就是整篇课文的要点,然后让学生复述。这种方法是大部分教师常采用的方法,效果很好。现在以九年级英语unit 11 section B ,2b 为例。教师出示下列问题:
(1)Why did peter feel angry and worried?
(2)What kind of advice did Peter’s father offer him?
(3)Do you agree with Peter’s father?
(4)What happened after Peter told his teammates about he was sorry ?
(5)Why did Peter think that that he was on a winning team even though they lost the last game ?
学生回答上述问题后,让学生把答案连接起来复述出来,但是学生可以加以一些联词,像and ,but,so, because...等。这样课文比较流畅和连贯。
三、对比记忆法
部分文章通过对比,记住一个的同时就记住了两个,大大地提高了效率,节约了时间,举例如下。九年级英语unit 10 section A,3a 这篇文章可以将瑞士和哥伦比亚的风俗习惯进行对比。
学生可根据表格直观的看到两个国家风俗礼节的不同,复述起来一定事半功倍。
四、重点句子排序法
教师现将重点句子挑出来,之后打乱顺序呈现给学生,学生将这些句子从新排列后进行复述,这既锻炼了学生的口语表达能力又锻炼了学生的逻辑思维能力。例如九年级英语unit 4 section A 3a.
A:What does Candy have to say to all those young people who want to become famous?
B,But she has to worry about how she appears to others,and she doesn’t have much private time anymore.
C,She begins slowly ‘You have to be prepared to give up your normal life.And you really require a lot of talent and hard work to succeed.
D, I ask Candy how life was different after she become famous.
E,Only a very small number of people make it to the top .
F,She explained that there are many good things ,like being able to travel and meet new people all the time .
上面的句子正確顺序为D,F,B,A,C,E.学生比赛进行复述。
五、句式断开法
教师将整齐的、基本结构相同的句子书写在黑板上,对比分析,启发学生发现规律,在理解文章句子结构特点后,复述文章的方法也就出来了,极有规律的句子记住后,记重点词,流畅的复述课文就简单了。以九年级unit7,section A,3a为例:
When I was a tiny baby crying all night ,my mom sang to me .
When I was two running through the field ,she made me safe.
When I was seven coughing badly ,she said no ice cream for me.
When I was nine watching scary movie ,she said it’d give me awful dream
When I was teengoing out with friends,she said ‘don’t be too late.
以上是一首诗歌,应用这种方法非常适合,尤其体现了诗歌的韵律感。
总之,教师可以根据自己的实际情况选用适当的方法,以上便是本人的一点经验,还望广大同仁多提宝贵意见。
