This report assesses the rapid extraction of off-target distance information from the resulting Doppler effect when a missile passes through an aerial target equipped with a continuous wave radar detector. A mathematical analysis method has been derived that defines the various parameters required to quickly calculate the off-target distance. Through in-house research and trial production, a prototype was produced. It electronically detects Doppler frequencies that are equal when the missile approaches and departs from the target, and collects the time corresponding to the Doppler period between these points. Although these data from the experiments are limited, it is believed that it is practicable to extract the missile off-target distance from continuous-wave radar.
