April 26 - the 51st International Secretary Festival. This little-known festival in China became lively because of the “serious confrontation” between the secretary of a multinational company and his boss. Interestingly, the e-mail that was originally intended to facilitate communication unexpectedly turned into a tool for mutual crusade between the two parties. In just a few days, the e-mail, dubbed “The Most Admired Woman Secretary in History” and her boss, was widely forwarded among major multinational corporations and as a result led to cultural discourse and human resource disputes between Chinese and foreign enterprises. The magazine made a replay of the incident and made interviews with top executives of some famous Chinese and foreign enterprises to comment on the merits and demerits of others.
