PON(Passive Optical Network)无源光网络是实现FTTH光纤到户的主要技术,提供点到多点的光纤接入,所有的信号处理功能均在交换机和用户宅内设备完成。目前我国的PON技术以EPON和GPON为主,对于EPON和GPON的融合一直是许多运营商研究的重点,EPON和GPON之间有不同的优缺点,两者融合能够更好的处理用户需求。在速率上,GPON要明显优于EPON,并且GPON能够提供多选择性。因此,针对目前的FTTH接入方式下,EPON设备及终端已经有大量在网,对于在同种接入方式下技术与成本更具有优势的GPON,将两网进行融合建设,如何以最小的代价来对两网融合的探究已经成为目前网络建设的重点。本文主要针对EPON与GPON如何在OLT接入方式中实现融合,从几种方案中进行研究和对比,提出可行性的建议。
Passive Optical Network (PON) Passive Optical Network (PON) is the main technology for implementing FTTH FTTH. It provides point-to-multipoint optical access. All signal processing functions are performed on switches and subscriber premises equipment. At present, China’s PON technology is mainly based on EPON and GPON. The convergence of EPON and GPON has been the focus of many operators’ research. There are different advantages and disadvantages between EPON and GPON, and the integration of the two can better handle the user’s needs. At the rate, GPON is significantly better than EPON, and GPON can provide multiple selectivities. Therefore, for the current FTTH access mode, a large number of EPON devices and terminals are already on the network. For a GPON that has more technical and cost advantages in the same access mode, how to integrate the two networks at a minimum cost To explore the integration of the two networks has become the focus of network construction. This article mainly aims at how EPON and GPON converge in the OLT access mode, and makes research and comparison from several scenarios and puts forward feasible suggestions.
