In 2011, the world produced 4,127,000 tons of tea, of which 1,557,000 tons of tea were produced in China, 322,600 tons were exported, and 1.2 million tons were domestically produced. The production and marketing are basically balanced. However, in recent years, the planting area of tea in many areas of China has witnessed a rapid growth. It is estimated that the output will be larger than the sales in a few years. Expanding the comprehensive utilization of tea can ensure the balanced development of China’s tea industry. It is well-known that the comprehensive utilization of tea resources (including the root, stem, leaf, flower and fruit of tea) has obvious value added and great prospects. It is understood that in some countries, nearly 40% of the tea leaves are used for deep processing and comprehensive utilization each year, developing a large variety of tea-containing products and entering commercial production and achieving greater economic benefits
