Some people dream of fame and fortune
　　but in the end they just find misfortune.
　　Other folk work toward money and glory[荣誉]
　　to leave some trace of their life’s story.
　　There are a few with wisdom and insight[见识]
　　who dream their dreams beyond the night
　　but in the end all hopes and aspirations[渴望]
　　become their lies and foolish exaggerations[夸大].
　　Some people can reach and touch the stars
　　others carry around their heartaches and scars.
　　Seems we never learn from our mistakes
　　and we wonder why others get all the breaks.
　　Success and fame it appears takes work
　　but the human condition demands[需要] we shirk[逃避，推卸].
　　So we dream those dreams and never learn
　　that admiration[钦佩] and respect[尊敬] are hard to earn.
　　有人梦想名与利，
　　最终寻得是不幸。
　　有人辛苦为财誉，
　　但求此生留痕迹。
　　有人兼具智与慧，
　　终夜流连梦境中，
　　最终所有愿与望，
　　皆成谎言与愚夸。
　　有人伸手摘星辰，
　　有人背负伤与痕。
　　从未能从错中学，
　　只羡他人尽偷闲。
　　功名还须勤中来，
　　人性偏喜避职责。
　　永梦永望永不悟，
　　钦佩尊敬本难求。
