Angiogenesis, the process by which new blood vessels arise from preexisting ones, is critical for embryonic development and is an integral part of many disease processes. One of the Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) receptors-EP3 plays an important role in tumor angiogenesis.Recent study demonstrate that lymphangiogenesis is significantly reduced in EP3 knockout mice. However, the role of EP3 in endothelial cell (EC) behavior is unknown.
