Objective: To explore the value of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC)patients undergoing radiotherapy.Methods: A total of 84 patients divided into contrast group(n=56) and PEG group (n=28) were included in the study.Oral feeding was performed in the contrast group, whereas the PEG group was given enteral nutrition support with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy.The weight and prealbumin of patients were measured before and after radiotherapy.Meanwhile,fistula pain abdominal pain, abdominal distension diarrhea, and radiation-induced oral mucositis during RT were monitored.
