Objective: This study aims to evaluate the possible synergistic effects between γδT cells and bortezomib, as well as to determine the underlying mechanism.Methods: The proliferation of U266 cells [multiple myeloma(MM) cell line] treated with bortezomib was determined using MTT method.Cytotoxicity of γδT cells against U266 cells was measured using calcein assay.Cell apoptosis was analyzed using flow cytometry (FCM).The expression of NKG2D ligands(ULBP1, ULBP2, ULBP3, MICA/B) and TRAIL (DR4 and DR5) on the surface of U266 cells before and after treatment with bortezomib were determined by FCM.
