Reporter: The Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH) is a widely acclaimed event venue in Thailand. Could you briefly introduce its features?
Vathanakul: PEACH, a prominent flagship of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group, is one of the largest convention venues outside of Bangkok.

Reporter: PEACH has been particularly experienced in hosting prestigious association meetings like the 55th PATA Annual Conference and the 46th ICCA Congress. Could you share the secrets of presenting unforgettable experience for delegates?
Vathanakul: The way we present unforgettable memories is by listening to our clients and making sure we cover all their basic requirements for their functions. After that, we try to add unique touches and creativity of our own in order to create unforgettable experiences. One of our strengths is flexibility and because of that we can customize our venue according to the client’s demand. We have turned our hall into a football arena, wedding venue, art exhibition, a concert and many more. For the 46th ICCA congress we partnered with the Sanctuary of truth (a temple made entirely of wood) and organized a dinner for ICCA delegates there. They were very impressed. Reporter: Did PEACH perceive any changes in Thailand exhibition and convention industry in recent years?
Vathanakul: The exhibition and convention industry is very dynamic and so the style of events that come to us each year varies greatly. New customers always challenge us and even with the customers that return to us annually, we have always organized something different for their group. Therefore our team is always trained and our product constantly upgraded so we can meet the sophisticated demand of our customers. The trend that we are seeing now is that there is a shorter booking time period than before. Sometimes we may receive an influx of requests for proposals for two to three months in advance in comparison to six months or a year.
Reporter: Have you ever visited any Chinese exhibition venue or participated with Chinese exhibition organizers? How did you like it?
Vathanakul: My last visit to a Chinese exhibition venue was when I attended the luxury travel mart in Shanghai. I enjoyed it very much and I found the Chinese culture to be very interesting. I am also very fond of Chinese food so my time in China was a very pleasant one. The good news from attending that tradeshow was that Royal Cliff received a lot of interest from the Chinese market.
Reporter: Both China and Thailand are popular MICE destinations, what do you think are the biggest advantages of Thailand in comparison with China?
Vathanakul: Thailand is renowned for beautiful smiles and great hospitality. Our service has been acclaimed by many organizations as one of the best. This is our advantage not over just China but I believe globally. Thai culture is also significantly different to China but both cultures have something unique to offer international clients.
Reporter: Could you share with us the future development plan of PEACH?
Vathanakul: PEACH has recently upgraded its technological aspect by installing optical fibres in the venue. We can now offer ultra fast speed to our customers. Thailand Convention Exhibition Bureau recently had their workshop at PEACH and one of the sessions involves live streaming to Holland. This session was a video seminar attended by 100 countries. We did not have any technical glitches at all and our delegates were very happy with the outcome. Aside from technology, we have expanded our halls and we can accommodate up to 10,000 people. Our on-site kitchen will also be upgraded so that we can cater to the banquet functions in larger numbers. Apart from our convention centre, our hotels are also being renovated. We can say that 1090 rooms of Royal Cliff are brand new. Royal Cliff’s management also added new facilities to the property including 2 double edge infini pool, cigar room and new design restaurants. It is our aim to offer business travelers the complete set of amenities whilst they stay with us.
