Most of the trial and data collation has been completed in the second phase of the TDFC, moderated by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). It entered the stage of the “final” technical evaluation of the second phase in early April 1981 . The final development of Type II bogie performance appraisal and its application of economic analysis has begun. The second phase of FDOP costs approximately $ 4.08 million and is contracted by Wyle Laboratories and Union Pacific Railroad undertakes major line testing. One of the main tasks of the second phase of TDOP is to complete the data analysis and technical reports on the performance test of the first type I (standard three-piece) truck bogie and the necessary additional tests. The first phase of the trial consisted of a standard three-piece model of 70 tons and 100 tons (US tons) represented by the ASF Ride-Con-trol bogie and the Barber S-2-C bogie
