要提高泡桐的造林技术,必须首先了解该树种的生理、生态特性。下面以海岛泡桐的研究结果(林,1977年)为重点加以叙述。一、生长特性1.年生长过程:种根定植一年,其树高生长为2.32米,根径生长为6.15厘米,而平茬后一年的生长,分别为4.21米和9.44厘米。二者的生长过程大体一致。年生长过程可分为生长期(3月下旬~8月下旬),生长结束期(8月下旬~10月下旬)及生长休止期(11月上旬~翌年2月中旬)。4月上旬~11月下旬的月平均气温相差不超过5℃,无多大变化。因此,泡桐的生长旺季约为5个月时间。2.林分产量构造:据调查,在台湾中部峦大林区(海拔950米)种植的海岛泡桐和
