近年新闻界有一个现象相当显著,这就是新闻的“软化”。它的具体表现,一是对软新闻的重视。早先报纸头版经济、政治、外交“三驾马车坐天下”的格局业已打破,软新闻堂而皇之地列居头条也是见多不怪。这两年掀起的那股“增刊、扩版”风,说到底,是为给社会新闻、文化娱乐、市场行情这些从前多被忽视的报道内容提供更多的场地。新闻“软化”的另一个表现,是对硬新闻的软处理。一批有识之士,在进行经济、政治、外交这些硬新闻的报道时,也在试图改变以往的冷漠、训示面孔,站在读者的立场分析新闻事实,从读者的视角取舍新闻素材,寻找“硬”、“软”新闻的结合点,以与读者和睦平等地“对话”。透过新闻“软化”这一现象,我们看到的其实是读者意识的加强。它要求在一般新闻报道过程中,注入更多的读者因素。即便是那些政策性、思想性比较强的硬新闻,也应当在报道内容、报道体式、甚至编排位置和刊登
In recent years, one phenomenon in the press has been quite remarkable. This is the “softening” of news. Its specific performance, one is the emphasis on soft news. The pattern of the front page economy, politics and diplomacy “troika riding the world” has been broken. Soft news ranks among the top leaders without exception. In the final analysis, the “supplemental and extended version” of the style set up in the past two years is intended to provide more venues for the previously overlooked coverage of social media, culture and entertainment, and the market. Another manifestation of “softening” of news is the soft handling of hard news. A group of people of insight are also attempting to change their past indifference and precepts while reporting on such hard news as economy, politics and diplomacy. They also analyze journalistic facts from the standpoint of the readers, and select news materials from the perspective of the readers to find out “Hard”, “soft” news combination point, in order to be harmonious with the reader “dialogue.” Through the phenomenon of “softening” of news, what we see is actually the strengthening of reader’s consciousness. It requires that more readership be injected into the general news coverage. Even those hard-fought and thought-hard hard news should cover the content, the style of the story, and even the layout and publication
