Writing teaching is a key part of English teaching. It can reflect learners’ comprehensive ability in English, such as English thinking ability, accuracy of words and sentences and organization of texts. Given their importance, many English teachers spend a great deal of time and energy teaching English writing. However, they mainly focus on the macroscopic aspects of the text structure, but they fail to solve the dilemma of students’ lack of basic English expression method. Most students’ essays are still filled with a large number of Chinese-English, unnatural expressions and even some low-level grammar vocabulary errors. How to improve the English writing ability of middle school students has become a hot topic in foreign language teaching and research
