2005年,中国车市最抢眼的新闻莫过于世界高档汽车的先导品稗——德国宝马开创了中国汽车市场有史以来的单车最大降价案:国产宝马3系和5系轿车一次降价幅度达13%~14%.其中530i的价格竟然一下子降了10万元。2004年,在中国大陆市场,宝马集团共售出15480辆BMW汽车,比2003年的18445辆下降了16%。其中国产宝马的3系和5系轿车只卖出了8661辆,与市场老大奥迪相差甚远。设计生产能力达3万辆的沈阳华晨宝马只有不到1/3的产能得以实现,不能不说是对宝马集团的一大打击。
