作为美学史上一个重要的历史时期,表现主义对19世纪末20世纪初的各个艺术领域都产生了广泛而深远的影响。而电影艺术作为19世纪末20世纪初的新兴艺术门类,在发展初期即与表现主义思潮相碰撞,被表现主义赋予了新的美学内涵。1920年至1927年之间,在德国大约有24部表现主义电影上映,而由弗里茨·朗(Fritz Lang)所执导的表现主义科幻默片《大都会》(Metropolis)更是表现主义电影的杰出代表,本文将以《大都会》为例,简要分析了表现主义电影的选题特点,影响风格与象征手法。
As an important historical period in the history of aesthetics, expressionism has a broad and far-reaching impact on various fields of art from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. As the emerging art genre at the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century, cinema art collided with expressionism in the early stage of development and was endowed with new aesthetic connotation by expressionism.
