Objective To investigate the clinical effect of using micro-screw to implant maxillary first molar with low elongation. Methods Twenty-three patients with maxillary first molar were impacted with micro-screw implants, totaling 53. The vertical distance between the mid-point of the maxillofacial dentition and the palatal plane was measured on the cephalometric slice to compare the differences between before and after treatment. Results After 3 to 7 (average 4.47) months of treatment, Cephalometric measurement showed that the elongated maxillary first molar was lowered by 2 to 5.5 (average 3.17) mm. The X-ray film showed no obvious absorption on the root tips of molars. No change in bone height. Conclusion It is a good and effective method to treat maxillary first molar with micro-screw implants.
