Non-English majors in vocational colleges have weaker ability to communicate and communicate in spoken English, and there are fewer classroom oral English learning hours. How English teachers improve their oral English in limited classroom teaching is the focus of this article. This article starts from the self-determination theory proposed by the American psychologists Deci Edward L. and Ryan Richard M. in the 1980s, and gives students the freedom to choose their right to inspire non-English majors in the choice of oral English learning materials. Students at different levels learn the enthusiasm and initiative of spoken English, and enhance their confidence in self-confidence and achievement in learning spoken English. This will lay a solid foundation for them to become high-caliber application-oriented talents.
