1950年,应时任西安广仁寺住持关符清(蒙古族)的祈请,著名爱国老人、藏传佛教高僧喜饶嘉措大师(藏族)在新旧社会交替之初,专门为广仁寺撰造《宗喀巴大师赞》文,其意义非凡。该赞文于1957年由被誉为“当代玄奘”的法尊法师(汉族)译成汉文,同年刊发在《现代佛学》“纪念宗喀巴大师诞辰600周年”特辑上,使之在内地开始广为传颂。特别值得一提的是,该赞文发表于西藏民主改革(1959年)前,其现实作用巨大。这段史实尽管知者有限,却是新中国成立初期藏汉文化交流、团结西北各民族尤其是蒙藏人民不可或缺的一章。
