After six years and a half at the helm, 56-year-old Wan Feng ceased to be president of China Life Insurance Co. Ltd., and transferred to the post of vice chairman. Meanwhile, he will continue to serve as the executive director of the board.
As to other four senior executives of China Life Group, Lin Dairen will take over the office of president and CPC secretary of the company Liu Yingqi and Liu Jiade will be appointed to other posts, thusly leaving three VP vacancies among senior executives.
Reportedly, the coming president Lin Dairen vowed on his appointment conference that he would continue to take the road of sustainable development, carry on the heritage and established goals of China Life Insurance, and protect the interest of 240 million customers, 100000 employees and shareholders. He also indicated that China Life Insurance would make better use of the internet and other modern technologies such as cloud computing and big data.
Lin Dairen, the same age as Wan Feng, started to serve as VP of China Life Insurance in 2003 onwards. From 2006, he also held a concurrent post as the executive director and president of China Life Pension Co., Ltd.
31 years of career in the insurance industry endows him with a wealth of business and management experience. He is also the executive director of the Insurance Institute of China, executive director of China Labor Association and executive director of Peking University China Insurance and Social Security Research Center.
