The American famous psychologist once mentioned that, transfer is a kind of cognitive activity, which embodies a process of the active psychological processing of an individual. It is evident to perceive the phonological characteristics featured by the so-called Nantong dialect caused by the negative one in the learning of English among students from Nantong, which is a bit divergent from the standard phonological characteristics.
2 Nantong Dialect
Nantong dialect, the extension of Jianghuai dialect, displaying, to great extent, characteristics in the transition of Jianghuai dialect and Wu dialect. The phonetic system of Nantong dialect can approximately be divided into the old school and the new one.
3 phonological differences
4 Conclusion
