The China Commodities Fair Costa Rica, which was sponsored by CCPIT and co-organized by Beijing Exhibition Co., Ltd and Trade Development&Cooperation Center of CCPIT, took place from November 26 to 28, 2013. The exhibition was hosted as a component to the spontaneous 7th China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit. The aim was to make the summit more diversified, and to present a more direct and efficient trade platform for Chinese companies to explore the Latin American market, and furthermore, to explore the advantages of the region, including abundant natural resources, relatively-low labour cost, huge economic developmental potential, and preferential trade terms with European and the American companies.
The China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit this year received 1,300 delegates from 24 countries. During the conference period, about 500 companies participated in about 1,600 negotiation conference and received positive promotion effect. The Xinhua News Agency, China Daily, and 18 international media gave extensive coverage of the exhibition and the summit. In local region, main stream media like LA REPUBLICA, LA NACION and AND Radio also reported the event.
The China Commodities Fair Costa Rica featured an exhibition area of 800 square meters and about 20 giant exhibitors from 10 provinces, including Sany Group, Dongfeng Motor Cooperation, Huawei Enterprise, Great Wall Motor Company Limited, BYD Auto, China National Salt Industry Corporation. The exhibits included construction machinery, cars, motor bicycles and components, alternative construction materials, electronic products, stationaries, food, information services.
In the three-day exhibition, Chinese exhibitors negotiated with about 600 clients in total, and the trade deals sealed on site nearly reached 1 million dollars, intent business volume was 18 million dollars, mainly from cars, construction components, and photoelectric products. According to a survey, 50% of exhibitors achieved good trade effect and signed business deals on the site, over 90% of the exhibitors were satisfied with the effect of the trade fair and the quality of trade visitors. In addition, exhibitors approved the organizing work of the sponsor and the organizers. Most of them thought the environment of the exhibition hall was beautiful, and that extensive publicity not only helped build up the company profile but also increased the trade effect.

As a perfect combination of exhibition and summit, it diversified the content of the conference, and in the meantime created more opportunities to understand each other better, to do business directly for companies from China and Latin America.
