美国陆军坦克车辆研发工程中心(TARDEC)的工程师使用直接沉积金属(DMD)工艺修复/再制造国防部地面车辆系统损坏的部件。该高度集成的系统工程工艺利用激光、计算机辅助设计和粉末金属来重新改装部件以满足不同设计和技术升级需求。作为国防部所有有人和无人地面车辆系统的集成单位,TARDEC负责提供先进的军用车辆技术。该中心的技术、科学和工程研究人员一直在进行地面系统生存力、动力和机动性、地面车辆机器人、部队防护、车辆电子学和结构等的前沿研究与开发。
Engineers at the US Army Tank Vehicle R & D Engineering Center (TARDEC) use Direct Deposited Metal (DMD) processes to repair / remanufacture components of the Department of Defense ground vehicle system. The highly integrated system engineering process utilizes laser, CAD, and powder metal to repack parts to meet different design and technology upgrade needs. As an integrated unit of all Department of Defense manned and unmanned ground vehicle systems, TARDEC is responsible for providing advanced military vehicle technology. The center’s technical, scientific and engineering researchers have been working on cutting-edge research and development of ground system viability, power and mobility, ground-based vehicle robots, force protection, vehicle electronics and structures.
