第五股席卷美国的流行风
今年第五季“美国偶像”新鲜出炉。来自南部亚拉巴马州，唱风独特的狂野小子泰勒·希克斯成为美国福克斯电视台新一轮群众造星运动的幸运儿。这个第五位正宗的“美国偶像” 泰勒·希克斯给美国带来了一阵新鲜的流行风。
This year, the 5th American Idol is new- ly-publicated. Taylor Hicks, a wild kid with unique singing style from the South Alabama, has become the lucky dog of the new round star-making movement by American Fox TV station. Taylor Hicks, the 5th genuine "American idol", has brought a gust of fresh pop wind.

"In the history of our country, there is still not any president having got such a high ballot." The host declared proudly in the award ceremony. In fact, Hicks originally was a small supporting role on stage, and his voice is very distinctive, not everyone likes it. It is said that in the rough-selective period , judger Simon Cowell once commented that performance of Hicks on stage was just like a drunk uncle in the wedding ceremony, and predicted that he even couldn't enter the next competition. However, his rival, a 21-year-old pretty girl called Mcphee from Los Angeles, is in a family with the intellectual background, her mother is a vocal music teacher. Not only she has a star-like good looks, but also has a nearly perfect voice, and knows all the emotion-appealing techniques on stage. But the taste of audiences obviously deviated from the traditional musical value judgement, the masses chose Hicks who was not so perfect.

American Idol is a TV talent competition program put out by Fox TV Station since 2002. The organizers usually choose several big cities to hold auditions every summer, and pick out the qualified contestants who can come into the TV competition from tens of thousands of registers. The competition is held from January to May every year and shows once a week, and the winner of every competition is elected by the ballot of the audiences. The 12 contestants who go into the final period of competition will have chances to contract with CD companies. The final winner even will be famous overnight and become a new music star known to everyone in the singing field.
《美国偶像》4年前开播以来，收视率不断上升，成为吸引观众人数最多的电视节目之一。其收视率已经连续两年高于NBA总决赛、超级杯橄榄球赛以及格莱美与奥斯卡颁奖典礼等传统热门电视节目。
Since American Idol was shown 4 years ago, the rating has been increasing constantly，and it has become one of the programs attracting the most audiences. Its rating exceeded some traditional hot programs such as the NBA Final, the Super Cup Rugby match, the Grammy Awards and the Oscar Awards ceremony.

随着《美国偶像》的持续火爆，世界上有30个国家都制作了这个节目的各式“复制品”。克罗地亚有《克罗地亚偶像》、德国有《德国超级明星》、芬兰有《芬兰偶像》、中国有《超级女声》，有些节目还引起了不小的轰动。
With the continuous hot of American Idol, 30 countries have made various duplicates of this program in the world. Croatia has Croatia Idol, Germany has German Super Star, Finland has Finnish Idol, China has Super Girl. Some programs even arisesensational effects.
《马来西亚偶像》自从2004年播出之后一直就非常火爆，在去年12月《马来西亚偶像》的最后一场比赛中，有大约160万观众参与短信投票(该国总人口2600万)。
Malaysian Idol has been very hot since it was shown in 2004, in the final contest of Malaysian Idol in last December, 1,600,000 audiences voted through short messages.（The total population of Malaysia is 26,000,000）
《澳大利亚偶像》节目，不但在澳大利亚广受欢迎，还穿越了国界，在新西兰也可以看到。
