新课改背景下的英语教育体现了以学生为主体的教学理念,注重对学生参与和实践能力的培养。它突出了素质教育的内容,体现了以学生为主体的新的教学理念,具有很强的时代性和科学性。英语听力教学尤其体现了该教学理念。但目前我们苏北农村学校的英语教师和学生还不能完全适应这种新的要求。主要体现在:一、现实背景随着社会的发展,普及高中阶段教育已成为大势所趋,势必有大量的初中毕业生进入高中学习,这样就有更多的基础较差的同学跨入高中,造成学生整体水平的参差不齐,具体表现如下:
